Perhaps you have followed the development of this car since day 1. Perhaps you have read every single automotive review out there on the FR-S, and watched numerous video reviews about how great the FR-S is both on and off the track. Or perhaps you have never heard of this 200hp, horizontally opposed boxer engine RWD sports car until now.

Regardless of which camp you fall into, why endlessly analyze the car on paper and via YouTube, or wonder what it is capable of when you can test drive the car and find out for yourself? The Scion FR-S launch -- hosted by VCMC -- is the event you DO NOT want to miss. Come join us for an exciting day of autocross on the full 1000' x 500' pad at the BC Driving Center. Scion Canada is bringing 2 of their 2013 Scion FR-S to the pad for VCMC members to test on course.

I've now stripped three different wheel studs on my s2000. It seems to happen as I'm trying to take the lug nut off with an electric impact gun - the nut will loosen a bit, then seem to get caught on the threads and get stuck. Or, as I'm zipping them on, even if I hand tighten a fair bit first. The only way to get them off after that is to force them to turn with a breaker bar, which strips all the threads off the stud.

Has anyone else run in to this issue? I've been changing wheels a lot over the past year.. Perhaps I should go back to doing them all by hand.

The kicker is that you cannot replace wheel studs on the s2000 without removing the hub, and then you need to replace the wheel bearing. x3, now :huff:

Hi again, just in time for the start of race season, we're pleased to offer a group buy on the award winning CG Lock restraint systems.

Simple fact: Want to retain more control of your car while cornering? You need to keep the driver planted firmer. While expensive 4 and 5 point race belt will work, often car interiors and belt mounting points will prohibit most people from installing expensive race belts. Also race belts are awkward and cumbersome to use on a daily basis.

Now you can keep your butt planted with this very simple, but effective lap belt tensioner from CG Lock.

The CG-Lock gives about 80% of the holding power of a full race harness. Why do people use a harness? Well for sanctioned racing, they are necessary. However you can now achieve harness-like holding power, without the expense, weight, and mounting hassles of one.

You don't need to "hang on" when driving hard...you can keep your feet light on the pedals and your hands light on the wheel for better driving control, faster reactions, and less fatigue.

You are "one with the vehicle"...you can sense the vehicle movement better, react sooner, and "feel" your way through the tricky spots more easily.

Unfortunately, most of us do our auto-crossing in our daily drivers with standard three-point automotive seat belts, not racing harnesses. Once the CG-Lock is installed, you pull up on the shoulder harness of your seatbelt, and the lap belt portion gets "racing harness tight" and stays as tight as you want until you release it!

Simple, but what a difference it makes; your hips are the body’s center of gravity. Tightly held, hips provide you better control, and faster lap times period!! When you are counting thousands of seconds in an auto-x, every little bit helps.
Installs in most vehicles in under 30 seconds!! This little lock is so effective it can be used on any kind of street application.

CG Locks can be added to most vehicles, and benefits:

• Street Driving
• Auto-x
• Drag racing
• Drifting
• Track days

CG Lock has recently gone through new owners, and new Canadian distributorship - unfortunately increasing our cost and new Canadian MSRP to $64.95 plus HST, however if purchased in bulk, they are willing to allow PDM Racing to offer to VCMC these amazing little units at $49.10 plus tax.

This is a VCMC Group Buy - so prepayment is required in full to reserve your CG Lock. We will need 20 prepaid orders to get this done at this pricing.

Sign up can be done on the forum, and once we have 20 interested buyers, then payment can done via in person with cash, cheque, debit or credit, OR can be done by online by email money transfer or Paypal. Sorry, CC's not taken for online. Shipping for non locals is extra by Canada Post.

I will have a few CG Locks on display or to test try this upcoming weekend's event...so you can either sit inside the CRX and test fit them, or ask if we have one you can borrow for a run to see how they work.
