VCMC is proud to announce the 2017 SCCA Solo Nationals scholarship program. This program provides the opportunity for VCMC members who are attending SCCA Nationals for the first time in their autocross career by offering FREE entry to the event. Between September 4th to 8th 2017, the best Soloists will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska to compete against their peers and rivals. More than 1,200 drivers will flock to the largest competitive motorsports event in the world — The Tire Rack SCCA Solo National Championships; where winners and runner ups are literally defined by split second differences.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, the following criteria must be met:
• Applicant must be a first time attendee of SCCA Nationals and a current VCMC member
• Applicant must be involved with the Velocity Driver Development program in 2017 in some capacity- either as a student, instructor or volunteer
• Car being used at the event must clearly display VCMC and/or Velocity decals
• VCMC must be listed as one of the applicant's sponsors in the official results published by SCCA
The applicant must pay their entry fee and attend SCCA Nationals. An amount equal to the early bird entry fee will be reimbursed after the event has been completed (specific details on how to claim the scholarship will come at a later date). Applicant is solely responsible for costs associated with membership, penalties, late entry, and travel.
