  1. Classing a 99 civic

just rebuilt the motor and other parts of the car and am looking to get into the scene

    stock car completely

what class would i run in?

also is there anything i would need to do to the car to make it "track ready", to pass any tech inspections ect

Engine rebuilds are fine, as long as the specs are still within the factory tolerance.

Your Civic would be classed into H Street.

Passing tech inspection is quite simple -- your car just needs to be in running order, with no leaks from anywhere. The battery needs to be secured. You'd have to remove the driver side floor mat. The seat belts need to be functional. The pedals have to work. The wheels and tires need to be in good condition. Wheel hub needs to have no play in it. That's about it.

When you arrive on site in the morning, there will be a tech inspection before the car is allowed to participate.

Technically, the larger radiator would put you into STS, which is a somewhat more difficult class than H Street. But as a matter of sensibility, nobody in the right mind would bxtch and protest you over a larger capacity rad in the regular local events. If you happen to decide to participate in the Canadian nationals, or if you venture out to other bigger events nearby, be mindful that you may get protested if you trophied in H Street.

Just something to keep in mind.
