At first glance, these appear to all be misclassed:

Marko Josipovic Supra (SS —> BS)
Aydean Mehri Camaro SS (SS —> AS)
          Matthew Gregory S2000 Non-CR (AS —> BS)
Jason Ortiz 94 Miata (CS —> ES)
Dmitry Afanasyev G37Z (DS —> FS)

Edwen Ma 91 CRX (STR —> STS)

Pippin Osborne 99 Skyline (STP —> SSM)

Abdi-aziz Mohamud 90 Civic (CM —> STS/FSP/SMF depending on mods)
          Gordon Wong 88 RX7 (SM —> SSM)
Matthew Cookie FRS (SSM —> SM)

I also note that James and Louis appear to be registered in STR in an EG which does not appear correct.

Look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow,

            Hello everyone,
Just wanted to say that I i just registered for my first ever Autocross event (for tomorrow), yay! Looking forward to it!

I just wanted to say that I can help with what ever is needed, wherever a novice like me can help

Also, I wanted to mention that I don't have a helmet and would need to borrow one please. Wasn't sure if there are always extras around, or if its better to say something now.

One last thing; I think I put myself in the correct class (FS). If not, sorry, and could someone fix it for me please

            Thanks everyone

Welcome to the club and your first event!

It's great to see a new driver ready and willing to help! After all, we always stress that autox is very much a volunteer sport -- if we don't have enough participants willing to chip in to help with the event's operations, it'd be very difficult to pull off these events.

So if it works for your schedule, please come to the pad some time after 7:30am. Once you've settled down, just check with the registration helper and whoever is in the timing trailing to see how you can make yourself useful. And if everything already happens to be in good order, well then, you've just gotten yourself a bunch of extra time to walk the course!

Throughout your day, don't be afraid to ask any of the senior drivers for a hand or suggestions. When you're walking the course in the morning, ask a veteran to show you what's important. During your run, ask the grid person or anyone else to hook you up with a senior driver -- both to have them ride in your car, or to bump a ride or two in their vehicles (just keep it to the 1st or 2nd run of the session). Most people are very friendly and willing to help.

                See you tomorrow!

                  Welcome Oliver,

As Rick said, we all enjoy seeing new blood come into our sport and everyone is willing to help so if you have any questions just ask someone.

I am chief of novices tomorrow, so it will be my job to help you and the other novices out. I drive a dark blue (almost black) 2015 Corvette, so a similar heavy, high horsepower car to you, stop by and say hi and I would be happy to give you driving pointers on a course walk, go for a ride in your car and let you come for a ride along in my car. What colour is your Camaro? I will keep an eye out for you.

Long time autocrossers Gary and Pat Watson will be doing the official novice course walk (mandatory for all novices), so soak up all the wisdom you can from them. It is important to learn the course as best you can and have it imprinted in your mind so you are not searching for which way to go when you are on a run (easier said than done). But the biggest thing is to just enjoy the experience and have fun.

                  See you tomorrow,
                  Clive
