You can do the rough math and add up the parts alone, without tax – which is close to $8,000 Cad !!!
Labour alone is into the dozens of hours, so well over $2500.
All fluids changed with Motul synthetic 75W90 Motylgear oil. Engine has Motul synthetic with K&N oil filter (changed 6 times since I have owned it). Clutch and flywheel changed within the first few weeks, along with the rear main seal, front crank seal, rear CAS seal. Water pump, thermostat, radiator, belts all changed. Timing belt and front cover seals changed. Basically as we worked on the car, all new parts were installed in the shop. I had originally purchased this car off a customer with intentions to turbocharge it - but other projects prevailed and the car was not used much. Even purchased a ported turbo cylinder head which is NOT coming with the car.
Car is super sound and drives very well. Aircare passed Feb 14th, 2008. I have 2 other verts and have no use for this car (not good for carrying 2 kids in) and plans to turbo and repaint are no longer in it’s agenda. You will not likely find another 1990 Miata in Vancouver with as many mods, and with so little mileage put on it since it has changed hands for this kind of price.
Softtop has been swapped to a newer unit, excellent shape, no tears, no rips, window excellent shape. Hardtop is in good shape with a few cracks, but seals well.
Stock shocks/springs, steering wheel included.
I will NOT part this out unless someone offers me $4K for the car, less the wheels/tires, coilovers, and steering wheel.
