Attention VCMC members,
Through the diligent work of members of your ELT, as well as others pitching in, VCMC, in conjunction with our sponsors including PDM, Kumho Tires Canada, and Motul Fluids, is proud to bring you the first of three trial events at the BC Driving Center!
Many of you have been waiting for the announcement, And now it's time to dust off your driving skills, grab your helmet and come on out for our first event of the season!
Date: Sunday, March 1st
Location: BC Driving Center (Pitt Meadows Airport)
Gates open: 7:30am. Tech closes at 8:15 am. Reg closes at 8:30am(sharp!).
Driver's meeting: 9:15am.
How do I get there?
Ford Road, Harris Road and the entire community of Pitt Meadows must be treated with respect. That means no speeding, squealing tires, burn-outs, loud music or anything that might make the general public worry for their safety or register a complaint with the facility or council. If anyone is caught doing this they will be BANNED from future events at this site! In addition, your name WILL be forwarded to the other two major clubs in the region to extend the ban to them as well.
We cannot stress enough that we are ambassadors in the community of Pitt Meadows, and as such, must behave in a manner befitting those involved in a professional approach to driver development.
In keeping with this, the following restrictions will be in effect:
No first time autocrossers
Drive the speed limit to and from the event. Obey all signs.
Exhaust noise maximum 92 db (Zero tolerance)
NO!-Speeding, burn-outs, loud stereos or excessive noise.
Respect the local residents. It is a privilege to be here, and we are guests. Act accordingly.
You must Keep your car under control at all times.
Do not lock up your brakes.
No doughnuts or continual tire smoke.
No exhibition driving.
VCMC has the right to refuse entry to anyone attending this event who does not comply with these rules. You will forfeit your entry fee without recourse.
Breaking these rules at any time of the event from beginning to end, will get you banned from all other local autocross events and the BC Driving Center.
To request entry signifies that you have read and understood the rules for this event.
You MUST register on Karelo here. Entry fee is $40.
Membership renewals will be available the morning of the event.
$40 for renewals, $50 for new members
Memberships also available on Karelo here
We will also be needing volunteers to help with the event. Please see the worker signup thread.
Again, we will be scrutinized at these events, so let's conduct ourselves in a fashion that we can all be proud of!
