Welcome to the VCMC Marco. The barcode you got from the UBCSCC should be supplied from the CACC, and are the same ones we use. You should be able to use the same barcode for both clubs (you do still need a VCMC membership though).

quick question: I haven't run since 04 or 05 i think, is my barcode still valid and should i check for new membership (i know it has free event) or renewal (does it have free event?) on karelo? if my bro is already member or should i even choose family member (free event?)? just want to make my registration clear on karelo...lol

That does not make him a novice, read the novice def. we write all that stuff for a reason.

You only get a free event if you signup as a vcmc member for the first time.

Timing and Scoring, you kind of have to have some experience for this one before you can be the chief of that, I would suggest to volunteer to work at timing this time, once you get good you can then be the chief.

Just the basic stuff. ID, money, extra clothing that might be appropriate to the weather.
If you can, clean out your car the night before. Take out all the loose items so they don't move around in your car or trunk.
Make sure there is enough gas and oil in the motor and can't hurt to add some air in the tires before you get there.

Night before, get everything ready and loaded into your car and get a good night's sleep.

Try to show up a little early so you can get a better grasp of what is going on, and to say to everyone. =)

Randy, if you don't already have a SNELL-certified helmet, you might want to look into getting one. The club has loaner helmets around, but you may or may not want to wear them.
